True Latitudes is a team of people on three continents who are fortunate enough to have experienced true ultraluxury travel, and who are dedicated to providing others like themselves with all that they need in order to enrich their lives with ultraluxury travel.
Our principal founder is an American who has lived a significant portion of his life outside the United States. He earned degrees from the University of California and Stanford University before starting a professional career. More than twenty years ago, he launched the first of his entrepreneurial enterprises which gave him the time, opportunity, and means to become a very active and devoted ultraluxury traveler.
Our founder's love of travel began in his childhood, and travel—as well as the many people that he's met while traveling—has enriched each period of his life beyond measure. But having experienced all manner of travel over the decades, he's come to appreciate and cherish what ultraluxury travel can do for the traveler and the loved ones who travel with him or her.
The ultraluxury travel experiences that our founder has enjoyed can be measured by such things as his six trips around the world or his many stops on all seven continents, but more relevant to the members of True Latitudes who ultimately rely on our advice is the imagination and vision that he—and the rest of us at True Latitudes whom he has inspired—bring to the personalized travel experiences that True Latitudes creates for its members.
Building on our founder's experiences, True Latitudes adds the many travel adventures of the True Latitudes team on three continents, as well as a network of trusted travelers elsewhere in the world, to create an incredible knowledge base from which True Latitudes members are able to draw. The resources of True Latitudes are extensive and unique, and are available to those seeking true ultraluxury wherever they travel.
Most travel companies are started by people who want to travel—usually at someone else's expense. True Latitudes was started by people who have traveled extensively, and want to help others just like themselves do the same. We know from our own experience how difficult and time consuming it is to plan an ultraluxury trip. In planning our own trips, we've spent days and weeks researching in online and offline materials trying to find credible and trustworthy information and advice on the very best hotels, resorts, cruise ships, restaurants, and private guides. We never want to arrive at a destination to find that we should have stayed in a different hotel, eaten in other restaurants, or employed a different private guide. We always want to return from a trip feeling that we have enjoyed the best possible experience.
In creating True Latitudes, we've created something that we were looking for ourselves ̶ a single source of trustworthy and credible ultraluxury travel information and advice. Planning and arranging an ultraluxury trip is too difficult and time consuming. Most of the information you can get from the sources available to all of us is created by people with no firsthand experience in ultraluxury travel, or by people who are paid—directly or indirectly—to promote a hotel or resort or destination. Until now, there has been no truly trustworthy voice of authority for those of us who just want the best possible experience when we travel. That's changed.
Our focus is on serving our members—people from all over the globe who pursue experiences and memories through ultraluxury travel. We are dedicated to ensuring that their travels are as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.
